Sea Dragon Sculpture Installed at Coronado Library

The "Imagine" dragon now welcomes guests to the Coronado Library at 640 Orange Avenue.

Imagine was installed in front of the Coronado Library last week. The sea dragon sculpture is on loan from Lemon Grove artist Ken Kraber.

A crane lowered the sea creature, also known as the Imagine Dragon, onto a concrete base on Tuesday. With the base, the copper brown dragon statue stands 14-feet-high and weighs 350 pounds. It looks like something straight out of the sea or a mythical creature from Game of Thrones.

The city said the public art piece is on loan for one year with options to extend the agreement.
