Next CHA ‘Wine & Lecture’ event: Frank Hamrick, Noted Naval Aviator and Author

At CHA's next "Wine & Lecture" event on Friday, May 23, at 5:30 p.m., noted naval aviator and author Frank Hamrick will join us for an absorbing and compelling talk about the stories that filled his colorful life and military career while serving in the U.S. Navy.

Frank flew a wide variety of aircrafts in the 1950’s and 60’s, and his book, Just Call Me Frank!: Memories of a Navy Jet Pilot, is a plain-spoken, forthright, and historical telling of the leading edge of military aviation of the era.  Frank operated from almost all of the Navy’s aircraft carriers of the era and flew over a hundred combat missions in Vietnam, flying the unique RA-5C Vigilante. With humor and vivid intensity, he recalls the life of a jet pilot flying for over half a century and the hard lessons learned.

Copies of the book will be on sale and available for signing by the author.

CHA’s Wine & Lecture events are free to the public; wine is available at $5 per glass. No RSVP required, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The Lecture Hall is located at the Coronado Museum of History & Art, 1100 Orange Avenue.
