Friends of the Coronado Library - You Are Overdue For A Visit - The Un-Gala

On February 7, 2014, from 6:30 - 9:00 p.m. the Friends of the Coronado Public Library will present a fun and social evening of exploration and rediscovery ofall that our wonderful Library has to offer.  Special collections from the Library's archives will be displayed, the new interactive PhotoAtlas of Coronado will be unveiled, tours will be given of Second Hand Prose bookstore and the fine art throughout the facility, and entertainment will be interspersed throughout the library. 



An auction will be held with such crowd pleasers as dinner for 6 hosted byChristian Esquevin, Director of Library Services, a private evening with local authors discussing their newest publications, beautiful rare books, a basket of tickets and gift cards to some of San Diego's finest attractions, and much, much more.   Food will be provided by Coronado Taste of Oils, Alexander's Pizza, Ganosh Gourmet and Sweet Lydias.  Beer will be provided by Coronado Brewing Company. There will even be an old fashioned cakewalk for your enjoyment!



Tickets are $50.00 per person and include hosted food, wine and beer, as well as a $10.00 gift certificate to the Friends gently used book store, Second Hand Prose.  All money raised will go to support the special programs and exhibits of the Library.   To order tickets, please include your name, phone number and email address with your check and mail to: Friends of the Coronado Library, P.O. Each year the Friends contribute over $50,000.00 to the Library for, among other things, summer and holiday programs, the Brown Bag Piano Recitals, Junior Volunteer activities, computer programs for children and adults and the very popular collections of DVDs, CDs, Books on Tape, and Take Away recordings we all enjoy.  The Friends also fund many special gifts to the Library such as the beautiful Alfredo Ramos Martinez “Canasta de Flores” mural and the fabulous Steinway piano, both of which have taken our Library to a whole new level of service to our community.
