Coronado VFW to Host Thanksgiving Potluck

This Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, the Coronado Veterans of Foreign Wars invites all active military, veterans and their families to join them for a free turkey dinner.

The traditional Thanksgiving dinner will include, "all the fixin’s,” said Michael Turner, spokesman for VFW Post 2422.

A no-host bar will also be available, and the big screen TVs will be tuned to the football games. The National Football League is calling Thanksgiving “the highlight” of the 2012 NFL football season.

“We hope that a lot of our veterans and military locally will come down and join us,” said Turner. “Sometimes you just can’t be with family on this special day, and so it's important that we make the VFW Post a home away from home for our active military, area veterans, and their dependents. The meal will be incredible, as will be the company.”

VFW Post 2422 is located at 557 Orange Ave. For more information contact Michael Turner at (619) 865-4809 or mturner003@san.rr.com.
