While people and readied memorials to those 10 years ago, and at the Spreckels mansion, we all got a shock to the system Thursday.

A problem at a utility sub-station near Yuma caused that rippled across San Diego, Imperial and Orange counties, along with parts of Mexico. .

despite going without the lights for an evening.
