Report: Rat Complaints Abound in Coronado

A look at the number of complaints to the county about rats shows Coronado topping out the list.

An examination of nuisance calls found that Coronado seeks the most aid when it comes to alarms about rats in the community.

U-T San Diego studied the number of calls made to the San Diego County's Vector Control office and the greatest number locally came from Coronado, a city on a peninsula bounded on one side by San Diego Bay and the Pacific Ocean on the other.

Other communities with high levels of reports over the four years the publication examined are also near the water. They include Pacific Beach and La Jolla.
