Restaurant Week Comes to an End

Try to snag a spot at one of the four participating restaurant week restaurants, kids learn how to live greener, listen to live music while eating the best lobster in town, volunteer with the Audubon Society, and drink some wine for only $5.

1. Last chance: Tonight is your last chance to get a great deal on some great food. It’s the last night of restaurant week tonight, where four local restaurants are offering three-course meals for either $30 or $40. Call up or if you’re hankering for some seafood, for good ol’ American, or if you fancy some French.

2. Go green: It’s never too early to teach your child about the benefits of renewable energy. Take them to the today from 2-5 p.m. for . Your first through fifth graders will learn all about composting, recycling, and living in an environmentally friendly way. Classes are $120 for residents, $130 for non-residents.

3. Live music: Tickle your ears with live music tonight at . Local talent will play today at this popular dining joint that boasts “the best lobsterin town.” Eric Leal, who sings and plays the acoustic guitar, will be entertaining diners from 2-5 p.m. The trio known as Six String Samurai will wow audiences from 6-10 p.m. The shows are free to all restaurant customers.

4. Help out tomorrow: Tomorrow, Jan. 22, the and plenty of volunteers will once again be planting away at Emory Cove. Want to be a part of the effort to restore natural habitats for our sea birds? Have fun helping our local environment!

5. $5 Fridays: If you couldn’t find yourself a last-minute reservation for the last day of , you can still snag a deal at the Hotel Del. Hit up inside the Del from 5-7 p.m. and sip on glasses of wine for only $5. It might not be as good as duck Bolognese with paparadelle, but after a couple glasses, you won’t care.
