Resist a Case of the Mondays with Meetings, Workouts, Peanut Butter

Attend a garden meeting; make some reservations; wiggle, giggle and meet new moms; pump up your heart rate; and indulge in some peanut butter.

1. Garden meeting: Part of the ? Don’t forget you have a meeting today! The public can also attend this meeting, which starts at 9:15 a.m. This monthly meeting is held in the and refreshments are served before the meeting starts. New members are welcome to join!

2. It's baaaack: has tricked us again. Friday, Jan. 21 saw the end of the first restaurant week of the year, but, due to popular demand and hungry locals, this foodie's fantasy is here for . The extension started Jan. 23 and goes until Friday, Jan. 28.

3. Meet some moms: Take the advice of our and take your young ones to the class over at the community center. Classes are $60 for residents, $70 for nonresidents, and begin at 12:30 p.m. every Monday. Make sure to bring a towel or blanket, and meet other moms while your baby gets some serious stimulation and muscle development.

4. Been slacking on that resolution? Get back on track with some cardio at . Their 30-minute begins at both noon and 12:30 p.m. Call the Motion Center for registration and payment information. Fit in a quick workout before lunch and feel good for the rest of the day. Don’t forget to add some to your post-workout lunch!

5. Peanut, peanut butter … but no jelly. Today is National Peanut Butter Day. Eat up the sticky, thick stuff and celebrate its presence in our nation. Pair it with bananas or for a healthy snack. Spread it on bread with marshmallow fluff, or really indulge and get a peanut butter cupcake from or make your own ice cream creation with a peanutty swirl at . Is your mouth watering yet?
