Pet of the Week: Sara

Sara loves to nurture younger kitties, but wants a family to do the same for her.

In April 2011, this beautiful female tuxedo kitty came to us with her three kittens in tow.

Even as a stray, her maternal instincts remained strong, never letting her family be torn apart. In the months to follow, it became obvious to her caregivers that Sara had a knack for tending to the youth of her species. She is often curled up with Dallas and Maverick, two of our juvenile black cats, grooming their ears, washing faces and just letting them feel loved and attended to. Sara has had the grace and goodness to ease the transition for so many of our newcomers.
