Man Saves a Life on Way to Work over Coronado Bridge

The San Diego Union-Tribune reports that a Clairemont man risked his life to prevent a suicide attempt.

A man was driving over the San Diego-Coronado Bay Bridge on Thursday morning, when he noticed a woman outside her car standing near the rail, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. He was headed into Coronado to give a real estate appraisal.

Bryan Knowlton, 42, of Clairemont, pulled his car over and tried to console the woman. But she bolted for the edge.

A struggle ensued, but ultimately, Knowlton was able to hold onto her until authorities arrived.
