Forecast: Cooler Temperatures, Showers on Tap This Week

You'll need sweaters still, and maybe umbrellas too. The National Weather Service says there’s a chance of rain in Coronado later in the week.

The first full week of March will bring a mixture of clouds and sunshine through Thursday, when a cold storm from the northwest may arrive with showers, the National Weather Service predicts.

The forecast for Coronado:

Monday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Light and variable wind becoming west 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Monday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 50. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.

Tuesday night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 52. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 58.

Wednesday night: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Thursday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 56.

Thursday night: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
