Lecture: WWII POWs - Stories of Tenacity and Courage

Q&A and book signing will follow the lecture.

On Thursday, February 7 at 7PM join the Coronado Historical
Association in welcoming author Craig Smith to discuss his book, Counting
the Days: POWs, Internees and Stragglers from WWWII in the Pacific
. Smith
will discuss six prisoners of war—both Japanese and allied—including their
struggles to stay alive, the small daily triumphs that kept them going, and,
for some, their almost miraculous survival.

Q&A and book signing will follow the lecture.

Craig Smith has been involved in many major public works
projects, including the renovation of the Pentagon before 9/11. He is also the
author of How the Great Pyramid Was Built and Extreme Waves.
