August 16, 2013 - Recycle San Diego is partnering with Ballpark Self Storage to kick-off an eWaste drop-off program at the storage facility’s location at 611 Island Ave, San Diego, CA 92101.

Free eWaste drop-off is open to the general public and Ballpark Self Storage will receive eWaste 7 days a week from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with the exception of major national holidays.  eWaste items that are accepted include computers, monitors, televisions, small printers, laptop computers, cell phones, stereo systems, rechargeable batteries, and much more.  For more information please call (866)-711-6408.

Jeffrey Harding, the founder and president of Recycle San Diego, states “This partnership between our two organizations provides residents of downtown San Diego, the Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Marina District, East Village, Cortez Hill and Coronado with an easy and practical solution to the problem of limited access to eWaste recycling facilities.  Downtown and neighboring residents can now drop off their eWaste seven days a week at Ballpark Self Storage.  Our company’s goal is to scale-up this concept and ultimately create easily accessible eWaste drop-off centers throughout San Diego County.  Recycle San Diego is experienced in managing the safe and legal collection of all types of eWaste.  During the past 7 years we have serviced more than 50,000 customers and diverted more than 85 tons of eWaste from being dumped into our local landfills.”
