Spirit Airlines Adds Local Daily Flight to Cabo

The low-cost airline will become the second to offer the service out of San Diego.

Spirit Airlines has announced it will begin flying daily between San Diego and Los Cabos, Mexico, on Nov. 8.

The flight is scheduled to depart Lindbergh Field at 10:10 a.m. and arrive at 1:15 p.m., local time. The return flight will leave Los Cabos at 2:15 p.m. and get into San Diego at 3:15 p.m.

The airport at Los Cabos serves both Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

“We're looking forward to this new service between San Diego and Los Cabos,” said Thella Bowens, president and CEO of the San Diego County Regional Airport Authority. ”There is a strong affinity between San Diego and Mexico, and this new service will strengthen the relationships of the two countries.”

The flight is one of several new international routes from Lindbergh Field, which used to have very little service to foreign countries.
