Poll: Should Starbucks Sell Beer and Wine?

The company is set to try the concept in Southern California. Should Coronado be one of the test cases?

Would you like a merlot with that macchiato? Starbucks is willing to bet you might.

The company announced Monday its plan to start selling beer and wine at five of its Southern California locations by the end of the year.

Starbucks also plans to run a test market in Atlanta and Chicago — and is already trying the concept at five stores in Seattle and one in Portland.

Those beer and wine offerings won’t be available until afternoon and will vary by region, according to the Associated Press.

The extended menu will include more than just booze, however. Starbucks is also rolling out a small plates menu with ‘premium foods,’ like hot flatbread sandwiches.
