LONDON CALLING

England is hot on the map right now with the Olympics in London fast-approaching and the Royal Jubilee celebrations well under way.  In case you're wondering, the Royal Jubilee celebrates 60 years on the throne for the Queen.  This has been a great chance for the country to celebrate and enjoy their holiday weekend!

Not only that but we also get to see some gorgeous looks from Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, the nation's style icon.  Before I talk style tips, I just wanted to mention her stunning red outfit which she wore for the royal pageant seen on Sunday down the River Thames.  She was wearing a red Alexander McQueen dress and hat (the same designer as her wedding dress) and looked striking as ever, truly flying the flag.

As an English girl in Coronado and a Personal Stylist and Wardrobe Consultant at that, I wanted to share some style secrets and latest trends from across the pond.

- COLORED SKINNIES

We've talked about these before and I can't stress enough how great they are as a summer update and even staple in your wardrobe!  London girls are rocking these far and wide.  

Don't shy away from them because of the bright colors; simply team them with a nude or plain top to tone them down.  They make a great alternative to your standard blue jeans and are great for day or night!

- METALLICS

I really believe metallics are great neutrals, as gold or silver in bags or shoes really will go with any outfit.  

Metallics have been big in the UK for a while now and have even made an appearance in tops and dresses for a chic, unique look.  

We have some new oversized metallic snakeskin clutches in store right now, an amazing addition to any outfit whether teamed jeans and a cute top or a knock out dress!

- PRINTS

Prints are huge across the pond right now, whether floral, tribal or graphic.  Print will draw more attention to a specific body area, so tread carefully with where you place your print piece to ensure it flatters you.  

We have some fantastic print tops which work well with shorts and wedges and some really cute print shorts, while stocks last!
