Joseph Gordon-Levitt is ridiculously talented. Check out his latest achievement, a new TV show called "HITRECORD onTV."

"HITRECORD onTV" will debut on Jan. 18 on Pivot TV, a new television network from Participant Media (it produced "An Inconvenient Truth" and "Good Night, and Good Luck").

Pivot describes "HITRECORD on TV" like this: "Joseph Gordon-Levitt has collaborated with thousands of artists from around the world to create a new kind of television variety show featuring short films, live performances, music, animation, conversation, and of course, more! Each episode will have a theme and the first episode is, appropriately enough, entitled 'The Number 1.'"

"HITRECORD on TV" is an offshoot of Gordon-Levitt's online collaborative production company hitRECord that he started in 2005 with his brother. Gordon-Levitt made his feature directing debut and starred in "Don Jon" last year, a film that hitRECord served as one of the production companies for. Gordon-Levitt originally gained fame as a child actor in sitcoms like "Roseanne" and "3rd Rock From the Sun." He scored in film comedies like "10 Things I Hate About You" but started to be taken seriously for his phenomenal performance in Gregg Araki's "Mysterious Skin." His directing debut, "Don Jon" was one of my favorite films last year, and the first episode of "HITRECORD on TV" is a delight. So it seems yet again that Gordon-Levitt can do no wrong and be utterly charming as he dazzles us yet again.

Check out the first episode of "HITRECORD onTV" and if you have not seen them yet, watch "Don Jon" and "Mysterious Skin." It's genuinely refreshing to see someone so young, talented and gracious, and so willing to take risks.
