Pirate Battle, Science Fair, Harlem Globetrotters

Your kid-friendly guide to getting out-and-about town.

Each week, we'll give you the lowdown on five great upcoming family activities or events.

Be warned, though, it's another weather-permitting kind of week, Feb. 23-27. There are some great outdoor events set for this weekend, but remember to bring your umbrella or your poncho, just in case.

Your options, near Coronado, and in San Diego, include an old-time sea battle for your little Pirates of the Caribbean fan, a big competition for young scientists and the chance to see some legendary ballers take the court.
