After last weekend’s busy schedule of superheroes, science fiction and sandcastles, this final weekend in July is a bit more chill. That’s not to say there isn’t stuff to do—we’ve got plenty of events in town and beyond that will satisfy the down-to-earth and the go-getters.
Coronado has some local community events for sports lovers and dancing divas. Watch competitors in the Sports Fiesta and Junior Olympics or let your baby move and groove at a local resort. If you’re ready to get out of the city, head over to Imperial Beach for a volunteer opportunity or go downtown for some all-day doggie fun.
The Del Mar Fairgrounds boasts a Marley this weekend, so you can get your reggae on after the races. And La Jolla has a film festival that’s for the fashionable only. Enjoy these last days of July!
