The lineup announced for the Paddock Concert Series at the San Diego County Fair is full of shows for classic rock fans.
The concerts begin June 12 with nine-time Grammy-winning band Asleep at the Wheel and conclude July 4 with DSB, a Journey tribute band.
Other classic rock acts include:
- Traffic co-founder Dave Mason, June 13;
- Psychedelic sound pioneers Vanilla Fudge, June 20;
- Eric Burdon & The Animals, June 21; and
- Jim Messina, a founding member of Buffalo Springfield, Poco and Loggins & Messina, June 28.
Interspersed among them are tribute bands to Led Zeppelin, Michael Jackson, the Blues Brothers, the Rolling Stones and Pink Floyd. The latter includes a laser light show.
Also appearing are John Tesh on June 14 and ex-Allman Brothers guitarist Dickey Betts July 2.
The fair opens June 8.
