Cultural Arts Commissioner Jeff Tyler and the Public Art Committee invite the public for coffee at a presentation of their draft of Coronado’s long-awaited Public Art Master Plan.

The goal is to put in place a clear process in which to acquire, display and preserve public art. Tyler will start the program with a slide show of Coronado’s already public art, followed by the presentation of the committee’s draft.

The debate began with two questions: “What is Public Art?” and “Why Public Art?” Public discussion and input will follow – the committee will use the points raised to shape the final document for presentation at the Cultural Arts Commission workshop in September.

In the Winn Room. For more info, contact Jeff Tyler, (619) 865-7153.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
