Oscar Procrastinator? Catch Up on Nominated Movies This Weekend

One film up for an Oscar is playing in Coronado; here's where to look for the others before Sunday's big show.

Need a refresher on the films up for Best Picture at the Oscars, which will be handed out at 5:30 p.m. Sunday on ABC (KGTV Channel 10)?

You can currently see one nominee, Amour, in Coronado at the Village Theater.

The other nominees are Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les MiserablesLincoln, Life of PiSilver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty.

Use the Moviefone tool above for other theaters still showing the nominated films. Good options for Coronado:

  • Reading Gaslamp, 701 Fifth Ave., San Diego,
  • UA Horton Plaza, 475 Horton Plaza, San Diego,
  • Landmark Hillcrest, 3965 Fifth, San Diego, which for die hards is screening the Oscar-nominated animated and live-action shorts.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
