Try Coronado Firehouse Bar & Grill for the Super Bowl

Which island restaurant or bar will be lucky enough to get your Super Bowl business? If you haven’t chosen a place yet, consider . This new restaurant, which opened last summer, may not be in your regular rotation for eating out in town, but for watching the Super Bowl, it may just be the right place. Here’s why:

Being able to see the television screen is probably one of the most important factors to consider. Coronado Firehouse Bar & Grill boasts a 45-inch bar-top television and 13 other large-screen televisions. Also, there is ample seating in the large restaurant. So you’ll have room, without missing a play!

The next important factor is beer. I know many Islanders are partial to our beloved beer (Coronado Golden for me, please), but Coronado Firehouse Bar & Grill may be able to satisfy–especially since you get all the great television screens. Coronado Firehouse Bar & Grill has 12 different beers on tap and about half of those beers are from local breweries. If you’re not much of a beer fan, select anything from their full bar.

Even better, Coronado Firehouse Bar & Grill is having some specials for the Super Bowl: $2.50 for Budweiser, Budweiser Light and Michelob Ultra bottles; $5 for Jager Bombs and Vodka Red Bull; $3 shot specials (exact drinks TBD).

As for food, go for their Smokey Sliders (three slow smoked pulled pork with BBQ sauce), their burgers with firestation-themed names, and make sure to try their sweet potato fries.
