Patch Pet of the Week: Boomer

Affectionate pup seeks new home

Boomer is a male Chihuahua (and possibly Terrier) mix, thought to be 6 to 9 months old, and weighs about 10 pounds.

Healthy and soft, he has tan and white markings and uses his soulful eyes to beckon you. Sporting an “adopt me” cape, he struts the neighborhood enjoying fresh air and the attention of admirers. Boomer gets along with other dogs and loves his human friends.

He would do best in a home where he is not left alone for long periods. He likes to snuggle under the covers with volunteers when it is time to go to bed, is very affectionate without being hyper and is an easy companion for any household.

He lives at the , 1395 First Street, next to the Ferry Landing.  Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. everyday but holidays.

We also have two sister teacup Chihuahuas, Bambi and Brownie, who need a loving family. Please stop by to visit them and get to know their personalities. For a complete list of animals available for adoption, please visit PAWS.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
