Patch Pet: Lotus

A mature female needs a new home her owner died.

Lotus, a female Chinese Crested, is a delightful senior girl – 10 years old, weighing 18 lbs. Radiating style and poise this girl is very gentle, sweet and totally lovable.

She came in with her long time pal Yodie, a Chihuahua, when their owner passed away. Lotus is definitely good with other dogs and does not seem to be too fazed by the cats in the Animal Care Facility. If you are looking for a loyal and dedicated companion, this girl would fit the bill.

She will need to be protected from both hot and cold weather as well as prolonged exposure to the sun. A little sunscreen will do the trick on a sunny day since walks are enjoyed. This breed sheds very little and would be ideally suited for anyone suffering from allergies.  Since sweaters are recommended for this breed in the winter, we can see this girl accumulating a couture collection! Come see for yourself how Lotus can complete any household.

Other pets are available for adoption at the Coronado Animal Care Facility, 1395 1st St. Hours of operation are 9 a.m.-4 p.m., everyday but major holidays.

To check out other animals needing homes, please view our websites: pawsofcoronado.org and petfinder.com.

All our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped and current on their immunizations prior to their adoption. PAWS of Coronado would like to announce our new program, Feline Baby Boomers/Senior to Senior Adoption. Cats of 10-plus years adopted to parents 55 and over get a reduced fee of $35 for the first cat, $15 for the second.

This is a great event. Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped make it a fun and enrichingRead More experience for my family. We need to get the word out about this helpful event in Coronado for the future. It was a learning experience for children and adults alike. I feel better now with my daughter riding her bike on the busy streets of Coronado. Thanks again to all of the Police Officers, Boy Scouts, Girls Scouts and local volunteers.
