Patch Pet: Lilly

Lilly is a 1-year-old collie mix looking for a forever home.

Editor's Note: PAWS of Coronado released the following announcement.

Meet Lilly, an out-on-the-town kind of girl. Going to the market? The park? The cafe for lunch? Bring Lilly! She is great in all settings, friendly with people and dogs alike. Lilly is a female smooth coated collie mix that is 1 year old and weighs 54 pounds.

Lilly is a natural on the leash and makes a great companion for runs, walks and hikes. She is ready to be active but has a nice calm energy about her when she's beside you. She loves romping around with her canine buddies too and has great meet-and-greet manners at the park and the beach.

Lilly is a people pleaser and extremely loyal. She naturally has great recall. She is a little green in terms of formal training (her foster mom is currently working on sit and down with her), but she is naturally smart and eager to please so training should be easy and fun with her.

Lilly does get nervous when she is left alone. Having canine buddies around her seems to allay that nervousness (she is currently in a foster home with 2 medium-sized dogs), and her foster mom is working on crate training with her. She also seems much more at ease when she's had plenty of exercise. As with all dogs, a tired dog is a happy dog!

Take time to come and meet this people pleasing young lady and see what a dedicated companion you will have in Lilly. She is looking forward to seeing you!
