SDSU Offers Meeting and Event Planning

SDSU’s College of Extended Studies will offer three classes in its popular Professional Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning program during September.

 

Whether you are new to meeting planning or a seasoned pro, these meeting and event planning courses offer you an opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills within this growing industry. The September courses include:

Event Marketing and Promotion, Tuesday and Thursday, Sept. 10-12, 6-9 pm

Sponsorships and Fundraising – Nonprofit Event Planning, Saturday, Sept. 14, 9 am-4 pm

Site Selection and Contract Negotiation, Tuesday, Sept. 17 and Thursdays, Sept. 19-26, 6-9 pm; Saturday, Sept. 28, 8 am-12 pm

 

 

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor of Statistics, “Employment of meeting, convention, and event planners is expected to grow 44 percent from 2010-2020, much faster than the average for all occupations. As globalization increases and businesses continue to recognize the value of professionally planned meetings, the need for meetings and events is expected to grow.”
