Coronado Surfers to Compete in the WILDCOAST Dempsey Pro-Am 9/28-29
Some of Coronado's hottest competitive surfers will be competing once again this year in the 10th Annual WILDCOAST Dempsey Pro-Am in Imperial Beach, September 28-29.
This annual charity event, the largest of its kind in South San Diego County, draws over 150 competitors, with dozens of Coronado surfers or all ages, in different divisions, as well as over 800 spectators enjoying music, prizes and other entertainment.
In celebration of the 10 year anniversary, WILDCOAST will host a two-day event this year which will include a professional contest, an MPA Paddle Race, and the traditional amateur surf contest. Proceeds from the event support WILDCOAST’s efforts to protect the most threatened coastal areas and wildlife in Southern California and Mexico.
