Bandai Co., Ltd. and Sync Beatz Entertainment Announce Latest Winner in the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e.™ Hometown Heroes Program

The caring and nurturing spirit emblematic of the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. brand is once again being celebrated as its fans have selected Dr. Sean Daneshmand and his non-profit Miracle Babies organization as the latest recipient of its Hometown Heroes program.

For receiving the largest amount of votes in the April/May competition, Bandai Co., Ltd. and Sync Beatz Entertainment will award a $5,000 contribution to Dr. Daneshmand and the San Diego-based group which he founded in 2009.  The mission of Miracle Babies is to provide support and financial assistance to families with critically ill newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and to enhance the well-being of women, children and their families through education, prevention and medical care.

As a perinatologist (high-risk obstetrician) working with a great number of brave, hopeful women and their families, “Dr. D.” noticed that many were financially unable to be in the hospital with their babies every day.  His efforts have provided over 600 families with financial assistance to pay for living expenses, transportation, medical equipment, prescriptions, baby supplies, and sibling childcare, which allows them to be with their baby while they receive critical care at the facility.  As part of his further commitment to preventing premature births, Dr. D. launched “Healthy Women Healthy Children” this year, an additional Miracle Babies program dedicated to healthy weight management for women before, during and after pregnancy.  You can learn more about the work and achievements of the organization at http://www.miraclebabies.org/.

“We are proud to see how enthusiastically Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. fans voted to recognize Dr. Daneshmand as our latest Hometown Heroes winner,” said Naruo Uchida, CEO of Sync Beatz Entertainment. “The work that he and the Miracle Babies all-volunteer team performs to provide financial aid to families dealing with the challenges of babies born into a neonatal critical care unit is truly admirable.  We are delighted that our contribution will help so many impacted by this devastating situation.”

“Hometown Heroes” is an ongoing program of the new Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. (Love Is Fun Everywhere) lifestyle brand.  Its goal is to encourage and recognize pro-social activity by enabling visitors to the Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. Website to nominate people in their communities who have selflessly committed time and effort to improve the quality of life for those in need.

“On behalf of Miracle Babies and the many families in need with sick newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit, I would like to thank Bandai Co., Ltd. and Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. for their very generous contribution,” said Dr. Daneshmand.  “It is very refreshing to see how socially responsible companies can, not only provide wonderful services for profit but also give back to the community at a time of need in such a generous fashion.”

Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. recognizes the highest scoring nominee with a $5,000 donation to the charity of his/her choice, along with an inscribed Tamagotchi L.i.f.e. Hometown Heroes Crystal Award acknowledging the work they’ve performed, which aligns with the caring aspect at the heart of the Tamagotchi® brand.

The next winner will be selected after the current voting period ends on September 1st.  Fans are encouraged to submit nominations for their own Hometown Heroes at http://tamagotchilife.com/heroes.
