Salon owner Ashley Gill and the stylists of hosted their third annual charity art exhibit and silent auction, Kids Helping Kids.
The event featured art submitted by local children between the ages of 2 and 10. Opening bids started at $5, with the highest bid ending at $81. The night was more than successful as proceeds reached over $1,000.

Guests, including adults and children alike, browsed the featured artwork and placed their bids. Erin Monahan of photographed the event and donated a photo session to the auction.
All proceeds went to the nonprofit organization Feed the Children, which ranks among Forbes 200's largest U.S. Charities.
Feed the Children sends food, relief supplies, and other essentials including, medicine, clothing, school supplies, and personal care items to children and families in all 50 states and 119 countries around the world.
Last year, families received 37 million pounds of food and over 100,000 backpacks loaded with snacks and educational items. Since the majority of revenue comes from private donations, Feed the Children often depends on contributions from businesses like Salon de Ville.
“I really enjoy hosting a fundraiser that gives children the opportunity to help others through such a creative outlet. It’s a unique platform that raises social awareness among adults and kids,” said Gill, who is mom to 7-year-old Gavin and 10-month-old Wesley.
The ladies of Salon de Ville have continued to support efforts to end childhood hunger and are committed to raising awareness among clients and in the community as well.
