Imagine spending a month in a townhouse in Tuscany for just $100! Katerina Ring, an artist who spent much of her time growing up in Coronado, and still considers this home, is donating the use of her small Italian townhouse in Lucca for an exciting opportunity drawing to benefit the Coronado Historical Association.
Only 100 tickets are being sold at $100 each for this drawing, which will take place at CHA’s annual Celebrating Coronado History Gala on February 23rd. The lucky winner will be able to use the townhouse at a mutually agreed upon time in 2013. (The prize does not include airfare.) The winner does not need to be in attendance at the Gala to win.
Lucca is located in the Tuscany region between Pisa and Florence, near the sea and mountains. It is an easy day trip to all of the Tuscan spots of interest and a great area for biking. The townhouse is a small Italian home situated outside the city’s old walls—a wonderful spot where the winner can truly immerse themselves into Italian life.
Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket/s for the opportunity drawing should call CHA at (619) 435-7242 for more details. As of today there are still a number of tickets left, but they are going fast. Tickets are also still available for the Gala with its theme of “Sea Stories & Ferry Tales,” which will take place at the Coronado Island Marriott on the 23rd.
Proceeds from the drawing will help support CHA’s ongoing mission to encourage and promote the appreciation, knowledge and understanding of Coronado’s art, history and other historical resources.
