5 Things: Speed Festival Tickets, the Final Fiddler and City Cash

5 things for Coronado residents to know Tuesday.

1. City of Coronado Planning Commission will meet Tuesday to consider the renewal of permits that allow Stainless Auto Wash to operate at 150 C Ave. Meeting at City Hall starts at 3 p.m.

2. Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival tickets are now on sale. The 16th Annual Fleet Week Coronado Speed Festival will take place Sept. 21-22 at Naval Air Station North Island. 

Last week Coronado City Council approved a request to close the 1000 block of Isabella Avenue 3-7 p.m. Sept. 19 so cars that will participate in the festival can be displayed.

3. The city of Coronado stands on secure financial ground and is the envy of other cities, Councilman Richard Bailey in a Letter to the Editor published Monday. 

4. Four homes and condominiums were sold in Coronado last week, according to Sandicor data, inclulding a $3.2 million home on Coronado Avenue.

5. The final show of the Lamb's Players Theatre's production of Fiddler on the Roof will take place Sunday.
