High Surf to Continue Through Tuesday

In addition, a new storm will bring rain Monday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.

For the second time this month, the surf will put on a show.

The weekend storm front churned up the sea, bringing waves of 5 to 8 feet with sets up to 10 feet and dangerous riptides Sunday, forecasters said.

Forecasters have issued a high surf advisory for local beaches from 5 a.m Sunday through 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Monday's surf is expected to be 5 to 7 feet, with sets up to 9 feet. Water temps should be 57 to 60 degrees.

A new milder storm front will enter the region with less than an inch of rain predicted for Monday afternoon.
