Five Parks to Picnic

Did you know Coronado has 21 parks? This week, Patch Picks five park to have a picnic, and some of them are a little off the beaten path:

1. Bay Circle Park.  Located at 100 Bay Circle, this park is quiet, isolated and tucked away just off the golf course.
2. Vetter Park. Located at 1625 Cajon Place, this park has a couple swings and is close to the tennis center. It's also named after a former mayor.
3. Grand Caribe Shoreline Park. This park, with great bay views, is a genuine gem and often forgotten by those who don't live in the Cays. It is located at Grand Caribe Causeway and Caribe Cay Boulevard North, next to the Cays yacht club.
4. Coronado Cays Park. Located at 99 Caribe Isle, this is one of the bigger parks in Coronado. It's a great park for a football or soccer game.
5. Bay View Park. Located at 413 First St., the name says it all. This park has some of the best views of the bay and downtown in all of Coronado.
